Pfeiffer House Our new boarding house is named after a fearless Austrian adventurer, travel writer and music teacher, Ida Pfeiffer, who lived in Vienna from 1797 to 1858. We hope that her life achievements and global-mindedness will inspire our boarding students to become their best selves. Pfeiffer House is divided into three floors: The Ground Floor welcomes Junior students (grades 6 to 9) The First Floor welcomes Senior students (grades 10 and 11) Our 12th grade students reside on the Second Floor of the house. Each floor is divided into two wings, the girls’ section and the boys’ section. In addition, each of the 6 wings is equipped with a student kitchen. On the open rooftop, students can enjoy the incredible panorama view of Vienna’s skyline and the surrounding mountains. The Rooms The boarding house has the capacity for 138 students. The rooms typically accommodate two students and have a private en-suite bathroom as well as a study space. The rooms have individual workspaces, Wi-Fi internet access, and ensuite bathrooms. Each room has cupboards, shelves, and for shoes, clothes, school material, smaller instruments, or sports equipment as well as a small safe for valuables and personal items. Boarding House Common Spaces Although boarding students live in gender-separated wings of the house, there are a number of common spaces. The cafeteria is located in the basement of Pfeiffer House, where students are served three warm and nutritious meals every day. On the third floor, we can find the Common Room, a comfortable and spacious social area for leisure, where students spend time relaxing and socializing. Next to the Common Room we find an audiovisual room and a music room, where students can watch films or sports on a big screen and play the piano
