Schlossgymnasium Künzelsau について

The Schlossgymnasium is quite an unusual school. Our special features make us one of the most interesting grammar schools in the state of Baden-Württemberg: We are a state secondary school: Pupils who come to us from very different schools study and live with us: From the 7th grade, pupils from Hauptschule, Realschule, community school and other grammar schools can switch to the Schlossgymnasium. With our 11c, we offer a follow-up class especially for high school students (with a high school diploma) who want to take the general school leaving certificate with us. A second connection class, the 11g, is aimed at graduates of the community school at E-level. The Schlossgymnasium therefore has an important function: We guarantee the permeability of the school system, i.e. the successful transition from one type of school to another. That is why we will continue to be a G9 high school in the future. Of our approximately 350 students, around 50 students from all grade levels live in our boarding school.

Accommodation

About a quarter of all students at the Schlossgymnasium live in the boarding school on the school campus – usually in single rooms spread over seven buildings. Four trained social workers or educators are responsible for the internal; they always have an open ear for problems of all kinds, ensure that everyday life runs smoothly, offer events and ensure that the boarding school rules are observed. However, in order to integrate the boarding school into everyday school life, several teachers are involved in the boarding school team.

The city of Künzelsau is located in the valley (elevation 218 m) and is surrounded by the higher-lying towns: Amrichshausen (401 m), Belsenberg (256 m) (with the parts Rodachshof and Siegelhof), Gaisbach (381 m) (with the hamlets Etzlinsweiler, Haag, Kemmeten, Oberhof, Unterhof and Weckhof and the farmstead Schnaihof), Garnberg (404 m), Kocherstetten (254 m) (with hamlet Schloß Stetten and farmsteads Bienenhof and Buchenmühle), Laßbach (with villages Mäusdorf and Vogelsberg and 3 farmsteads Falkenhof, Kügelhof and Rappoldsweiler Hof) (435 m), Morsbach (223 m), Nagelsberg (312 m), Nitzenhausen (431 m) (with hamlets Berndshausen and Sonnhofen), Ohrenbach (430 m), Steinbach (412 m) (with 3 hamlets Büttelbronn, Ohrenbach and Wolfsölden) - the data in each case in meters above sea level. Belonging to Künzelsau before the municipal reform of the 1970s were: the city Künzelsau, the villages of Garnberg and Nagelberg, and residential places Gaisbacher Rank and Hofratsmühle.

Facilities

Activity

Leisure Hours really are what the name means! The student is free to become active here and, for example, to play football or basketball on our soccer field, to borrow table tennis bats or to study for exams. But it is also allowed to lie on the lawns of our campus when the weather is nice or to chat in the common room to relax. You can also use our new so-called retreat on the ground floor of the school building, in which there are several modern computer workstations and a room for quiet work with a reference library. Whether you get bored or not is really up to each individual here
