Our boarding house is separeted into open apartments with single rooms and modern flair, where students live in small groups of 3 – 6 students (separated by gender). There, students are supervised by our social educators and boarding school staff (24/7). Our state-certified staff are available around the clock!

“Germany is generally a very safe country. In Paderborn, the crime rate is significantly below the crime rate of many other large cities in Germany. Serious crimes like robbery occur quite seldom in Paderborn. So you can live in relaxation here and be sure that the police, fire department and doctors will be on the spot immediately in case of an emergency.”

Paderborn is located in North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany. Together with the major cities of Cologne, Düsseldorf, Bonn, Bielefeld, Dortmund and many others, Paderborn as a university city and business location has played a role in the past decades in developing the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia into an important economic region for small and medium-sized enterprises as well as for industrial companies and major corporations from all over the world.

As a university city, Paderborn is home to more than 150,000 inhabitants and numerous students from Germany and abroad. In 2020, about 20,000 people studied at the Paderborn campus university, and more than 250 professors (some of them world-renowned) taught there.

In order to strengthen the common togetherness in the multinational environment, the Boarding School OWL offers a varied and well-organised programme of activities like excursions, and various sports activities as well as cooking together – for example.

Students who would like to join a sports team, can find teams in soccer, basketball or baseball. These sport and leasure activities are also important for the students to use there German language in normal daily situations which supplements their classroom work significantly.
