They started to take international students in 2017 and todat they only have a small number of international students. They almost dont accept foreign students, thats why its hard to get a admission. Currently 650 students are visiting the school and 12o of them live in the boardinf house. (Mexican 3, Russian 3, Ukraine 1, Hong kong 1, Chile 1, Spain 1 and Korea 2)
Landschulheim Marquartstein について
Marquartstein is located in Bayern in the vaccation spot Chiemgau. Its a public school, which prepares for the Abitur exam from grade 5 to 12. The school is in the village of Maquartstein, which is also close to austria. Its a small village with around 3500 inhabitants. It takes 30 minutes from Salzburg and 1 hour from Muenchen. The students live in the boarding house right beside the school and can feel the nature as much they can. They offer after school activieties to feel the nature and also can take part in Ski class. Marquartstein has a pertnership with the Ski club. Currently the school has around 650 students and 120 of them live in the boarding house. The curriculum differs branch to branch. The students can choose from language or science branch.
Students who want to apply for this school, can make an appointment for consultation and the procedures will be made by the colsultant and the school staff and will decide about the admission at the end. They also have a study abroud programm with US,France and Finnland.

*The school closes every second weekend like many boarding schools do and students have to leave the boarding house. Thus, the school also prefers international students who have a contact nearby. In those cases where there is no contact nearby the school has to look for a guest family for those close weekends which is possible but not that easy in a region with only few inhabitants. If there would not be a solution for one or more weekends coming to Humboldt for the weekend would also be an option.

Accommodation
The students should leave the boarding house on Friday between 13.00 and 14.00. At 13.30 there departs a bus to Munich. The students take few belongings with them (e.g. learning material in order to be able to revise during the weekend). The school offers supervision during the weekends for EUR 50.- per weekend. During one-week-holidays they also offer supervision for EUR 200.-. You will find a weekly schedule on their website: http://lsh-marquartstein.de/formulare)
Facilities
The students are accommated in 4 different buildings.
1.Berghof Its a new building beside the old Berghof and was built in September 2016. Here are 8 rooms, where girls from grade 11 and 12 are accommaded. All the rooms has a private bathroom and a balcony with a beautiful view of the mountains. The kitchen is shared and the kitchen table is liked by the students and used for group studies.
2.Schoeneck The Schoeneck offers place for 16 students of senior year. The meeting point of the boys and girls is the common kitchen. There are also bay window room in Schoeneck.
3.Das Unterhaus In two of the floors of Unterhaus girls from grade 5 to 10 are accommaded. And the boys from grade 5 to 7 have their rooms in the first floor.
4.Das Oberhaus The students from grade 8 to 10 live in the Oberhaus.
5.Der Speisesaal(canteen) A room with a lot of natural light and fantastic view of the mountain. The students have self service cafeteria with daily salad buffet and vegetarian meals.
Activity
The students can do the following activities in their free time: swimming, dancing, basketball, volleyball, soccer and so on. Depending on the season they also go mountain climbing, rafting, mountainbiking, climbing, kayak, ski and sowboarding. Every year in mid July we go to "Bavaria" camping place in Riva del Garda.
Other than that the students can take part in after school activities like joinery, gardening, pottery and electro workshop. Further more they can be a part of the instrumental class, school choir and teather group.
