lehnin is a small town of 12,000 inhabitants located near Potsdam and Berlin, known for the 825 year-old monastery of Otto I, Margrave of Brandenburg. The oldest monastery in the Brandenburg March and its restored abbey church is still a focal point of the town. Anotehr attraction is the Lehnin Institute for Fine Arts and Culture, located directly on the Lehnin Klostersee lake. Students live at this institute and can give their creativity free rein in after-class art workshps. The lake anbd the forest in the beautiful surrounding area also provide countless opportunities for a variety of after-school activities.
