Full Board Homestays in the area
Room Type:Singles
For special requests regarding homestay room type (including double placements) please contact the Vancouver Center.
Description: One of the best ways to both speed progress in learning English and gain a first-hand understanding of the people of Canada is to live with a Canadian host family while studying at ELS Language Centers. The Homestay Program is an inexpensive accommodation choice designed to give students an opportunity to learn about life in Canada by living with a Canadian family. Canadian hosts are sensitive to the cultural differences facing students upon arrival. It is their job to help the students adjust to the lifestyle, become familiar with the city and provide support to the students.
All of our homestay families speak only English in the home, and high-speed Internet access is guaranteed. Each student will have a private room* in a Canadian home located within a reasonable distance from the Center (an average of 45-65 minutes by public transportation) **. Full Board meal plan consists of 3 meals per day. Students are responsible for their personal transportation. Most students use public buses, the sea bus, or skytrains to come to school. For more information about public transportation in Vancouver please visit www.translink.ca
*Students may request their own private bathroom an additional charge of $125 per 4-week session.
**Students may request a homestay that is located closer to the school for an additional charge of $50 per 4-week session
