English for Academic Purposes is designed to give you the English-language skills and confidence to succeed in an academic setting while also helping you to understand the North American classroom culture of universities and colleges. Students will develop their academic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. Practice your English outside of class by joining fun activities, events and workshops organized by our cultural assistants.
Curriculum :
A placement test will tell you where you would start in our 4-level program. Each level has two 8-week courses.
Each course has an Academic Reading & Writing and an Academic Speaking & Listening class. You will receive a certificate and a transcript for each completed 8-week course.
If you successfully complete all the courses, you will receive the Certificate of English Language (CEL).

On Fridays, students attend optional workshops from 8:30am-12:00pm or 10:15am-12:00pm

バンクーバーキャンパスは、ダウンタウンから車で20分の距離にあるポイントグレイに位置しています。浜とNorth Shore山の近くに位置します。キャンパスと都市の間に7.63KmのPacific Spirit Regional公園グリーンベルトの役割をします。バンクーバーキャンパスの建物は、保有土地の1.7Kmに位置し、1,091,997mの面積を占めています。キャンパスの土地は、自動車道路と歩行者専用道路を含む格子状に建てられたモールは主に占めています。南西にはLower MallとWest Mallが北東にMain、EastとWesbrook Mallがあります。キャンパスはまた、多くの庭を持っています。UBC の最初の学科のBotanical Garden and Centre for Plan Researchは、研究と保存と教育に使われる8000種以上の植物を保有しています。
学校施設
UBC バンクーバーでのアクティビティは、中心部に位置し、Student Union Buildingから主に構成されます。このところは、さまざまなサークル活動のオフィス、レストランやカフェ、ナイトクラブ、425席を備えた手頃な価格のNorman Bouchard Memorial劇場、いくつかのお店と郵便局があります。 Student Union Building（SUB）に位置し、ほとんどのアウトレットや店舗は、UBC Alma Mater Societyが運営し、最近の大企業のアウトレットが入ったUBC、学生の選択の幅が広がりました。学生の作品がSUBのアートギャラリーに展示されています。UBCには二つの書店があり、そのうちの一つは、バンクーバーキャンパスの6200 University Boulevardにそしてもう一つは、Sauder School of Businessに位置します。オカナガンとロブソンスクエアキャンパスにもお店があり、書店は、さまざまな商品やサービスを提供しています。
