Homestay
Homestays - Full Board Homestays in the area
Room Type:Singles
For special requests regarding homestay room type (including double placements) please contact the Toronto Center.
Description:One of the best ways to both speed the progress of learning English and gain a first-hand understanding of the people of Canada is to live with a Canadian host family while studying at ELS Language Centers. The Homestay Program is an inexpensive accommodation choice designed to give students an opportunity to learn about life in Canada by living with a Canadian family. Canadian hosts are sensitive to the cultural differences facing students upon arrival. It is their job to help the students adjust to the lifestyle, become familiar with the city and provide support to the students.
All homestay families speak only English in the home, and high-speed Internet access is guaranteed. Each student will have a private room* in a home located within a reasonable distance from the Center (an average of 45-65 minutes by public transportation)**.There is a Full Board meal plan (3 meals per day) in addition to our Half Board meal plan (2 per day) at all ELS/Toronto homestays. Host family students are responsible for their personal transportation. Most students use public transportation to come to school. For more information regarding Toronto's Public Transportation, visit www.ttc.ca
*Students may request their own private bathroom an additional charge of $125 per 4-week session.
**Students may request a homestay that is located closer to the school for an additional charge of $50 per 4-week session.

I wasn’t sure
which ELS I wanted to go to, but I decided to go to Toronto ELS at last, since
the city. My brother used to homestay in Canada, so I had an idea of going to
Canada someday too. I was struggling between Vancouver and Toronto.
There were 3
Japanese in my class, it was assuring to have some of people from my country. We
helped each other out and hanged around together. We also established a fun
rule for ‘not using Japanese in classes with a penalty of $1 for each Japanese
word. That helped me to improve my English level. Small-sized classes also gave
us a mild pressure to use only English in the classroom. Although I stayed for
only 3 months in Toronto, the time I spent there is very meaningful for me.
_______________________________________________________________ ELS 語学学校はたくさんあるのでどこにするのか迷ったんですが、まずはやっぱり有名な都市ということでトロント校に決めました。
_______________________________________________________________ ELS 어학원은 많이 있기 때문에 어디로 할지 고민했지만 우선은 역시 유명한 도시로 가려고 토론토 로 결정 했습니다.
