If you drop classes or withdraw from the ELI after the first day of classes, you may not receive a full refund of your tuition payment.
Classes that begin in January, May, and August: see the UMBC refund calendar(shown below)
Classes that begin in March and October: no refunds after the first week of classes.
No tuition or fee refund is provided after January 6, 2023
Winter 2023 Drop/Withdrawal
Note that during the schedule adjustment period (January 3-6) you can swap a course for another course (for the same number of credits) without financial penalty. Please be sure to add the new course to your schedule before dropping the old one. If you drop a course during the schedule adjustment period and do not replace it with another course, you will receive a pro-rated financial refund based on the drop date. Please refer to the chart for percentages.
